    OnPointe Training Founder

    About Kaitlyn Rhoades, MS

Before starting OnPointe Training, I was a professional trained ballet dancer. After dancing with companies such as ABT, Joffery, Milwaukee Ballet and Nashville ballet I decided to pursue an even bigger dream; to promote health and happiness.

As I was dancing, I wanted to learn as much as a possible about the human body and exercise. It will not stop here, I strive for staying ahead and continuing my education every year. OnPointe Training is a company with one great mission and that mission is to make you happy and healthy!

    Ali Weeks

    Pilates Instructor

    About Ali Weeks

Ali grew up dancing and dreaming in the Chicago suburbs. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in dance and an additional major in psychology. After graduation, Ali moved to the bay area to pursue dance on a professional level. She promptly began her Pilates training, earning her BASI certification in 2012 and PMA certification in early 2013. Since then, Ali has gained experience teaching private sessions as well as small and large group classes. Her clientele has spanned the gamut, including pre-natal clients as well as those with severe spinal injuries.

The keen body awareness garnered by a lifetime of dance informs Ali’s teaching style as well as her love for functional anatomy. She believes we are all stronger than we think, and seeks to awaken that strength in everyone who walks into the studio. In addition to teaching, Ali is a member of two bay area dance companies, Blind Tiger Society and ka.nei.see | Collective.

    Rachel Lewis

    Pilates Instructor

    About Rachel Lewis

I found Pilates four years ago after suffering from a foot injury that prevented me from doing the high-impact activities that I enjoyed. I immediately fell in love. After working for seven years in the public relations and marketing fields, I decided to pursue my passion for Pilates and began my STOTT Pilates teacher training. I have always loved helping people get healthier – whether that means figuring out the types of foods that best nourish the body or adopting exercise regimens that help individuals meet their unique goals. I’m thrilled to help get all of our clients OnPointe!
When I’m not at the studio, you’ll find me cooking (and sharing some of my Paleo recipes on scrumptiousbyrachel.com), sweating it out in spin class, visiting family in my hometown of Santa Cruz, and hanging around Hayes Valley with my husband.
    Trained in STOTT Pilates
    MA, Health Communications
    BA, English and Journalism

    Wenner Exius

    Communications Manager

    About Wenner Exius

Wenner’s mom said he started writing and performing shows in the living room at the age of 3; he suspects he was more like 5. With a growing flair for the narrative arts, it was no surprise he became a writer for RollingStone.comand eBay Inc. as well as a copywriter for ad agencies like Digitas Lbi, Energy BBDO, and Razorfish.

As our Communcations Manager, Wenner is responsible for client advocacy and marketing initiatives. However, his passion for storytelling isn’t limited to branding the business: He began dancing in 2001, learning to tell stories through ballet and contemporary styles, but after a severe leg injury in 2011, he lost confidence in his body and found it difficult to recover physically.

After discovering Pilates, and practicing other fitness methods, Wenner began a journey to rebuild and reclaim his body. Now that he’s a Pilates apprentice at OnPointe Training, he’s learning to read the human body and helprewrite its stories through proper health and wellness. Wenner is currently in training for certifications in Pilates and Wellness Coaching. He also serves on the board of the Laurel School, helping to shape the wellness of children with learning difficulties.

Wenner moved to San Francisco from Montreal, by way of Chicago, where he received a B.A. in Communications from DePaul University. And, on occasion, he can still be found performing shows in his living room.

Class Descriptions

Pilates OnPointe

This class was designed by Kaitlyn Rhoades herself, and the formula is frequently done with her clientele in a private training setting. Half the class is a Pilates based helping warm up and activate those tiny muscles for the second half of class to be turned up a couple notches with some HIIT Training. Your heart rate will be up and you will be sweating and smiling.

Pilates Machine Mix

This class is the best for beginners because you get to try out all of our equipment. Especially if you have only experienced a Pilates Mat class. If you are advanced do not worry you will be pushed, there are only four people to a class allowing us to customize for an individual.

Chair

This class is on a piece of equipment that was designed for a tiny NYC apartment. Because it is smaller you use more of your own body weight. If you are new to Pilates or have a low back, shoulder or knee injury try this class after a couple sessions with us.

Tower

Tower is one of our favorite class with those that suffer from low back pain. There are so many great stretches that really help get into those hard to reach spots. If you are looking for a challenge at the same time, we will tone and tightened those hard to reach spots too!

Pilates Cardio Core

If you are ready to sweat and your core to tighten this is your class. This class features the Pilates Jumpboard. If you have a knee or ankle injury please advice one of our instructors before taking the class.

Pilates Cardio Circuit

This class is meant for the individuals that need very low impact, if you are not able to jump, still want to get your heart rate up, as well as lengthen and tone those muscles this is your class. The class is in a circuit format where you are at your own station switching between different Pilates moves targeting those muscles for some extra love.
